Considering a Vegan Diet?

Jul 25, 2024

Have you been considering a vegan diet, but you’re afraid of
not getting enough protein or feeling satisfied?

Or, are you worried that changing your diet
will take too much time or cost too much money?

Take this one test to see if plant-based eating is right for you.

If you’re considering a vegan diet, please close your eyes and visualize yourself standing in a field watching a cow peacefully grazing on the grass. She lifts her head and comes over to see you. Her big beautiful eyes fixed on you. In this moment, does it make sense that you would be required to kill her, remove her muscles, cook and then eat them in order to get all the nutrients you need?

Close your eyes again and see yourself. You have a bow, a gun or a knife and you’re chasing a bird, a cow or a pig. It’s scared; running or flying, trying to get away. You somehow manage to catch it and kill it. Then you’ll need to pluck its feathers, skin it, and cut it up, before cooking and eating it.

If you can’t see yourself actually killing an animal, see yourself hire someone else to do it. See yourself give them money and watch them kill the animal for you. However you see it in your mind’s eye is the way you’re meant to see it, whether the animal is raised on a beautiful pasture farm and then taken to a slaughter house, or on a factory farm where it’s been mistreated since birth. Whatever you see right now, is what you have in your subconscious mind.  Then see this person bring the meat back to you in a package, just part of the animal the once was. How do you feel about receiving the meat and eating it?

When you imagine these scenarios, if you feel a little ill or turned off in some way, or if you’re uncertain about how you feel, you owe it to yourself to try a vegan diet. The truth is, you subconsciously know how you feel inside, whether you allow yourself to think about it or not.  If you’re getting a push from within to change your diet, that’s your body telling you something. When your actions are incongruent with what you know consciously or subconsciously, it’s affecting your health. You can read my post, “You are the Ultimate Guru” to learn how to tap into your body’s messages.

The most important thing is to be true to who you are. There’s a reason you’re reading this and considering a vegan diet. If you’re unsure, here are a few facts for motivation.

From a personal health standpoint, we know that eating animal products is linked to cancer, obesity, and heart disease. Please read the article from the National Institutes of Health here (https://www.nih.gov/news-events/nih-research-matters/risk-red-meat) The truth is, we can pay less attention to what we’re eating if it’s primarily plant foods.  There’s no need to track calories, carbs or fat. Plants are loaded with nutrition and easy for our bodies to digest. They have fiber, which helps you feel full while ridding the body of waste.

Animal agriculture is the leading producer of harmful pollution on our planet. That means that putting meat on the dinner table is worse for the environment than driving a vehicle. 70% of the amazon rainforest has been cut down to grow grain for animal agriculture, impacting global warming and biodiversity. Check out https://www.cowspiracy.com/ for a fact filled documentary that will guide you through one man’s desire to help save the planet and what he discovered along the way.

What we eat has a massive impact on the environment.  We can literally change the world with our food choices. Each person who switches to a vegan diet saves, per day:

1,100 Gallons of Water

45 Pounds of Grain

30 SQ FT of Forested Land

20 lbs. Co2 Equivalent

..and One Animal’s Life.

Thank you for considering a vegan diet to transform your health and in doing so, minimize animal suffering and your environmental impact.
